Netflix is quickly going from the de-facto streaming platform to being an embattled incumbent in the ongoing streaming wars. Despite gaining over two million subscribers over the summer, the online media giant was likely rattled by seven-digit subscriber losses earlier in the year, leading to the cancelation of a host of shows and the closure of its animation department. The outlook doesn't look good.
